The HMO Investment Business Model

This investment business model enables both experienced and new investors an opportunity to invest in HMO's with a 'hands on' approach to their investment but a hand’s off' approach to the day to day management of running the HMO. Once we have updated/renovated the HMO and it is ready for market, the real work has only just begun and you can 'sit back' and leave us to 'do the work'. 

So what happens?

The day you complete on the purchase of the property will be the day we commence any updating and renovation of your newly purchased HMO. It won’t be left empty waiting for ‘a builder to turn up’. Everything is scheduled within a timeframe to ensure we complete renovations promptly so we can have your HMO back on the market ready to receive tenants and generate an income.

The Step by Step Process

  1. Room Rentals will source your HMO in a "hot spot" rental area (Covering Southampton along the coast to Portsmouth).
  2. Planning, building regulations, HMO applications and licensing including adminstrative processes are managed by the team at Room Rentals so you don't have to worry about anything.
  3. Project management during the course of the build/refurbishment are managed by the Room Rentals team and deadlines are agreed within the initial project plans. Our dedicated building team have vast experience.
  4. All interior furnishings (furniture and decoration) are managed by Room Rentals.
  5. Once the HMO is completed we take over full management and selecting the best tenants, whilst our landlord enjoys a 'back seat' investment. Keeping you updated with a monthly report/meeting.
